God is not something we receive. Truth is received. Grace is received. God is something we create to explain these great bestowings. It is the illusion of self that creates the illusion of giving and receiving. And it is the illusion of receiving that creates god. This illusion is the greatest work of art, and it is ours to create. As long as we know this, we will be at peace.
God is an infinite point between good and evil, an asymptote that exists across all dimensions of experience, at the inflection point between opposites. Or something like that.
Embracing ones own darkness is the source of power. Embracing ones own light is the source of grace.
The universe just wants to be entertained
Our seeming insignificance as individuals in the universe is God’s way of showing us the preciousness of our own experience. Our lives seem so small, but feel so big. This is both the greatest blessing and the greatest mystery.
Everything changes. And yet there is a deep unquestionable sense of continuity. Life is a process of realizing that everything changes except for that deep sense, which becomes all the more mysterious as all the evidence for it disappears.
A single cloud over a single hill
Against a vast blue sky
The sound of wind
And then nothing
To be with you is a devastating dream
To be killed by you is to be set free
And nobody knows why
